Mark started radio in 1995 and television followed shortly thereafter. Over the years he has become a household name, with both voice and face very familiar to South African audiences.
radio career (1995 - present)

5FM (1995 - 2004)
For almost 10 years Mark hosted various shows on 5FM, starting off on Weekend Graveyard, followed by the hugely popular 80's HOUR on Saturday afternoons, and then finally Weekend Breakfast. After many changes in their music format and audience target market, Mark left in 2003 and joined 94.7.

94.7 HIGHVELD STEREO (2004 - PRESENT)
Mark has been with 94.7 Highveld Stereo since November 2003. He currently hosts Johannesburg and Cape Town’s chart show TAKE40SA, Saturdays 10-2pm, and the Long Lost Classic Show on Sundays 10-2pm. In addition, when not on a TV shoot, he is a regular stand-in on the weekday afternoon Drive Show on both stations.

He made radio history in South Africa in October 2007 by hosting the first music chart show to be broadcast simultaneously on 2 radio stations. Mark can be heard on the Cape’s number 1 hit music station, 94.5 KFM, every Saturday 10-2pm.
