Mark has been on South African radio and television for over 20 years hosting numerous popular shows, including the country’s biggest ever reality show Big Brother and also SA’s biggest ever game show The Power of 10. A complete listing of his radio and television credits is listed below.
Radio stations
HOT 91.9FM (2014 - PRESENT)
Mark has joined the all-star radio cast and is now part of Johannesburg’s hottest new radio station, hosting a Saturday morning show 9am-12pm. In 2015 “The Mark Pilgrim Show” won the MTN Radio Award for Best Community Weekend Radio Show in South Africa.

In August 2017, Mark also took over the same time slot in the week, hosting 9am-12pm Monday to Friday.
94.5KFM (2007 - 2014)
Mark made radio history in South Africa in October 2007 by hosting the first chart show to be broadcast simultaneously on 2 radio stations, including 94.5KFM. Mark was heard every Saturday 10-2pm. In 2012 Mark won the MTN Radio Award for Best Commercial Music Show in South Africa.
94.7 HIGHVELD STEREO (2004 - 2014)
Mark was with 94.7 for just over 10 years and was best known for South Africa’s biggest ever chart show Take40SA. He also hosted the Weekday Drive Show for 2 years.
5FM MUSIC RADIO (1995 - 2004)
Mark hosted various shows including Weekend Breakfast and the 80’s Half Hour.
Television shows
LET’S CONNECT (2010 - 2017)
Mark was the host of Standard Bank’s internal communication show, interviewing top management live on air with staff interaction. It’s broadcast live to every Standard Bank office/branch.
BLUE WAVE AFRICA (2003 - 2017)
In addition to Let’s Connect, Mark also hosted the Africa edition of Standard Bank’s internal communication show, broadcasting to 44000 staff members in over 10 countries.
POWER OF 10 - MNET (2008)
This show still holds the title of South Africa’s biggest television game show to date. Mark hosted the show every Sunday evening.
CAR TORQUE - SABC3 (2003 - 2008)
This was South Africa’s longest ever running car show, broadcast Sunday afternoons. Mark was the narrator.
WHAT’s BREWING (2005 - 2009)
Mark was a guest host on SA Breweries internal television show broadcast to all staff every quarter.
SEX ETC - MNET (2005)
Nominated for a South African Film and Television Award, this show took a journalistic look at sex, sexuality and sexual health. Mark was the anchor host.
This was a weekly music insert on MNET prime time advertising the latest music and DVD releases. Mark was the host.
FACE 2 FACE - SABC2 (2004)
This was a reality makeover show where we gave unsuspecting shoppers at malls a complete makeover. Mark was the co-host.
TV history was made when the first continental Big Brother went to air on 14 television networks, broadcast live to 32 million viewers in 52 countries. Mark was the anchor.
BIG BROTHER SOUTH AFRICA 1 & 2 (2001 - 2002)
This was undoubtedly the biggest local reality show SA has ever experienced. Mark was the co-anchor.
NEW MOVES - eTV (1999-2000)
This was a television magazine show that highlighted the latest in food, fashion, travel and technology. Mark was a presenter.
